Do you have insurance?

Yes, we have £10,000,000 Public Liability Insurance.  Many venues now ask for this or the DJ will not be permitted!

Will you be the DJ our on our wedding day?

We have 3 specialist wedding DJs – David Mitchell, Allan Smith and Gordon Guthrie.  All 3 of these DJs are highly trained wedding DJs with years of experience and countless wedding receptions under their belt.  They will professionally MC your first dance(s) to start the night, then use all of their experience to give you the perfect ending to a perfect day.  You will be informed as to who your chosen wedding DJ is and will meet them personally for a pre-wedding meeting.

What will your attire be on the day?

Our wedding DJs will be immaculately presented in a suit/tux with shirt and tie. 

Do you offer a written contract?

Yes, we will always email you a booking confirmation for your records.  This states all the details of the reception – venue, times, contact details etc.  Your DJ will bring his copy to the pre-wedding meeting where he will discuss your musical preferences and first song choices.

How long will you hold our day for us?

There is a small deposit required to secure your date.  This is payable within 2 weeks of receiving your booking confirmation.

How many other weddings or other events do you hold each year?

As one of Ayrshire’s largest entertainment providers, we have a commercial sector which supplies entertainment for many pubs and clubs on a weekly basis as well as our private sector which provides professional entertainment for Weddings,  Race Nights and other special occasions.  Our commercial side has on average 22+ gigs per week and our private sector supplies between 4 and 10 per week, depending on the time of year.   We generally have at least one wedding per week – this can go up to 4 or 5 per week in peak season (June/July/August)

Would you take requests from our guests?

Yes, we always welcome requests from your guests.  They are there to have a good time and celebrate your marriage and if there is one song that brings back a memory or will make their night then we will gladly play it.  We will of course filter requests and play the right song at the right time throughout the night. (We will never play any requests that are football related or unsuitable for the occasion.)

Can we submit a DO NOT PLAY LIST?

Yes, we would hate to play a song which you hate or has bad memories attached to it.

How much of deposit is required to secure you for our date?

The deposit varies depending on the package you choose.  We can discuss this with you when you contact us.

What do you require from us?

Initially all we need is the information required for our booking confirmation.  Once you receive the confirmation, all we require is an email to say you are happy with the details on there and the deposit to secure your date.  Then, you can relax knowing that is one less thing to organise!  We will contact you approx one month prior to your big day to arrange a personal meeting with your DJ.

Do you take any breaks?

No, we play continuously for the times booked.  The level and type of music will vary though for example, when the buffet is served – we will drop the music volume to background level to allow people to talk etc whilst having something to eat.  

What kind of equipment do you use?

Every DJ site you will visit will boast they only use the “best equipment” and “latest technology”.  More often than not, this is not the case.  Our High Definition sound systems have been hand picked for their sound quality, reliability and functionality.  For example, our Mackie SRM450 long-throw speakers can project the sound to your guests the back of a venue without blasting the sound at your guests on the dancefloor!  

We use a professional DJ stand with built in lighting rig.  Our professional multi-optic lighting systems produce multiple effects from a single unit – meaning we can flood your venue with lighting from fewer units, keeping the lighting rig uncluttered.  Our attention to detail even extends to our power cables and stand covers which are all black to match the stand.
